By accessing or using SCRIBES ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, you may not use the Service. SCRIBES is a self-hosted AI meeting assistant platform that processes audio, generates transcripts, and produces meeting summaries.

2. Description of Service

SCRIBES provides AI-powered meeting transcription, summarization, and analysis running entirely on dedicated infrastructure. The Service includes real-time transcription via speech-to-text models, automated meeting summaries via large language models, text-to-speech voice summaries, and integration with third-party meeting platforms such as Zoom.

3. User Accounts

You must create an account to use the Service. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to provide accurate and complete information during registration and to update such information as necessary.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to: violate any applicable laws or regulations; record or transcribe meetings without the consent of all participants as required by applicable law; attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any portion of the Service; interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure; or share your account credentials with unauthorized parties.

5. Intellectual Property

You retain ownership of all content you upload or generate through the Service, including audio recordings, transcripts, and summaries. SCRIBES does not claim any intellectual property rights over your content. The Service itself, including its software, design, and documentation, remains the property of SCRIBES.

6. Service Availability

SCRIBES is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. We may perform maintenance, updates, or modifications that temporarily affect availability. We will endeavor to provide advance notice of planned downtime when possible.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SCRIBES shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or business opportunities arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by you for the Service in the twelve months preceding the claim.

8. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time for violation of these Terms or for any other reason at our discretion. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. You may request export of your data prior to account deletion.

9. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes via the Service. Your continued use of the Service after such modifications constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
